Under the mission of “Delivering safe surgery to the world,” iMed Technologies is developing surgical support AI for endovascular surgery. Endovascular surgery for ischemic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage is minimally invasive and places little burden on the body, and the number of such procedures is increasing at more than 10% per year. Because multiple small medical devices such as catheters must be checked under X-ray fluoroscopy, surgeons and assistants currently cross-check each other during the procedure, and oversights can occur. iMed Technologies aims to support this labor-intensive work with surgical AI and deliver safe surgery to the world.
With this selection under the NEDO Entrepreneurs Program, iMed Technologies will further accelerate the commercialization of its surgical support AI for ischemic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage.
