iMed Technologies, Inc. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO, physician Kenichi Kono; Representative Director and COO, Motohisa Kaneko; hereafter iMed Technologies), which develops surgical support AI for ischemic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage, has been certified as a partner of the NVIDIA Inception Program, an AI startup support program offered by NVIDIA Corporation (hereafter NVIDIA), an AI computing company that provides a GPU deep learning platform.
Under the mission of “Delivering safe surgery to the world,” iMed Technologies develops surgical support AI for ischemic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage. Endovascular surgery for ischemic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage is minimally invasive and places little burden on the body, and the number of such procedures is increasing at more than 10% per year. However, because endovascular surgery is performed by advancing fine medical devices such as catheters of less than 1 mm under X-ray fluoroscopy, the on-screen image is difficult to read and safety is compromised. iMed Technologies is developing surgical support AI for endovascular surgery and aims to deliver safe surgery to the world.
With this certification as an Inception partner, iMed Technologies will further accelerate the commercialization of its surgical support AI for ischemic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage.
